You are correct; I am passionate about road safety and dedicated to saving lives on our roads, because in my job I have seen too much road trauma and I personally know how road trauma affects families and individuals, like you and your family. Your contribution to MATES is very much appreciated and thank you for attending the MATES award ceremony. Ron is a selfless individual who never wants any recognition. Ron gives up alot of his personal time to be involved in Mates and many other road safety issues. I also think he gave up his spot at the awards ceremony so we could be there. Thank you Ron on behalf of all of us at Mates, the world needs more men like Ron Barry and I am proud to be apart of his team. It ceases to amaze me that when a few people get their heads together and tap into each others experiences, wisdom, networks and just plain old passion, things like MATES just happen. Keep up the good fight because I am getting back on the bike, much to my wife's disgust. I want to be part of changing the statistics so if more of us are riding and living the tide must change....surely........ Congratulations to all. I am not surprised.
