MATES has ‘hit the streets’ again with our motorcycle safety billboard campaign - and we would like to know if you have seen it and what you think of it.
Some of you may have noticed the billboard about this time last year when it was placed in various residential locations on the Gold Coast.
This time, we have chosen both residential and hinterland locations around the Gold Coast as well as some busy roads in the Logan area.
The billboards will be placed at various sites until about the end of March 2010.
The billboard message is deliberately an emotive one - “Mummy, when’s Daddy coming home?” - RIDE SMART - STAY SAFE
Why so? Because the evidence shows us that the motorcyclists who are losing their lives in motorcycle crashes are predominantly in the age group in which they are likely to have young children.
Hopefully, this message will pull on the heart strings of some of our fellow riders out there and they will live to see their young kids grow up.
We’d love to know what you think ……. Let us know!
