Have a read of this site and it will certainly change your mind about slipping down the road in that t-shirt and shorts. This woman is spectacularly brave and now promotes Motorcycle Safety Gear from her own personal experiences.

Yeah, that’s a good site, Paul.
I bought a mesh jacket this summer. Already had a leather jacket and a textile one with armour etc but was getting too hot. The new mesh one is great. As soon as I get rolling a nice cooling breeze comes right through.
About a month ago when it was real hot I soaked my long-sleeve t-shirt & Dragon Jeans in water at the petrol station and got a good evaporative cooling effect for about 20-30 minutes till it dried! I also use a bandana around my neck, soaking wet.
Comment by Stevec — Jan 5 @ 7:19 pmWhat a shame this photo can’t be plastered over a billboard to show all those arrogant idiots out there who think they are invincible, what could be in store for them. Yes, it’s hot at the moment & yes I really don’t want to put on all the heavy gear either but the consequences of not wearing it are absolutely frightening!!! Obviously there are a lot of riders who really don’t value their own lives or give any thought to those who care about them & what their loss or time spent in care after an accident would mean.
Use your brains (if you have any!!!) & suit up.It’s well worth it.
OK down off my high horse now & safe riding guys….
