The Gold Coast Bulletin published a story this week, claiming that their “coffin on wheels” campaign is responsible for the dramatic drop in motorcycle deaths on the Gold Coast.
Credit where credit is due, but not I think to the Gold Coast Bulletin. If the Bulletin worked hand in hand with the groups below and published articles on motorcycle safety instead of using the motorcycle coffin photo which no doubt causes further pain to already grieving families, then maybe, just maybe they could accept some accolades.
Any credit should go to the work done by the SMART program run by the Gold Coast City Council, to the Advanced Courses run by TeamMoto, and the effort that our own members of MATES put in. Also, just maybe some credit should go to “some” riders who maybe are realising they are not invincible and are starting to take responsibility for their own actions whilst out riding.
There have been many comments posted on the Gold Coast Bulletin site, and you can check it out here.

Besides print a photo of a coffin on wheels, what did the Gold Coast Bulletin do in claiming such credit. If that paper has such magical powers, wonder what they will take credit for saving next
