Have you checked out the new Here For Life website? You can find it at http://hereforlife.qld.gov.au
Not only does it have the familiar Share Your Story section, of which I believe everyone knows and you can contribute to, but you can also order a free road rules refresher guide.
More importantly, under the Be Safe section, is some very useful content for motorcycle riders, and a link to the recently re-launched Motorcycle Safety website - http://www.motorcyclesafety.qld.gov.au
For new motorcycle riders it has great info about LAMS and what to look for when buying safety gear.
But for me, I like the Motorcycle IQ quiz which you can take in three different areas - road rules, motorcycle maintenance and trivia. How good are you out of 10?

Brilliant initiative !

Found a few faults in the bike info already though !
Comment by Paul W — Sep 2 @ 7:36 pmAnyone know about devices fitted to helmets warning you have left your indicator on?
Comment by mow — Sep 3 @ 11:48 pmWould to love to know what’s available and recommended.
I have one fitted inside my helmet …
Comment by Paul W — Sep 16 @ 6:36 amit’s called a “set of eyes”..they are normally moved lower for a brief moment after each turn to look at the indicator lights in the gauges panel..
This enables one to see the flashing light showing the indicators on ..then I use my thumb which is also operated from inside the helmet via the nerve connections to the brain (another bling devise inside the helmet though it seems optional now).
After riding for a while good habits and correct discipline of a system of vehicle control helps avoid leaving such devises as indicators on..
Good luck and get plenty of riding in !
Hope this has been of help…lol !
I have just had an indicator warning device called “Audicator” fitted to handlebars of my bike. The Audicator gives you a warning sound after several blinks becoming louder the longer the blinker is left on. It is a GEM and I think in time this device will become a standard accessory
The Auducator is connected to the bike’s electrical system it is small an not intrusive to the ascetics of your bike.It retailed at $89.
The sound is very very audible. To reset the Audicator if waiting at an intersection just use back break.
Comment by mow — Sep 16 @ 7:00 amThis device suits me as I did not want to have any gadget fitted to my helmet.
thanks for all your posts
Postie bikes have had them for years…
what ever works for you though !
safe riding !
