About Me

I started riding many years ago and whilst in the Army, I rode the countryside of Malaysia and the Singapore and had a number of rides Triumph, Norton and my old mud plugger CZ and back then we went to motorcycle scramble meets. Returning to Australia the road bike was not an option but dirt was so with my new Suzuki 125 and 250 we hit the tracks and competition at venues such as Amaroo in those days we went up and down the high bits now they jump across. Settled down now children grown up and I became a returning rider my ride is now a 1998 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU-1 95th Anniversary Ultra Classic (Granny Glide). I remembered the look in my rear vision mirror as I left the salesman behind and made my way home, shortly after I booked in for Rider Training and that was the best thing I could have done, as I was brought back up to date and made me aware of the all those things you do when riding a motorcycle. I joined M.A.T.E.S. to help get the message across that training is an important part of the early journey and every time you attend a course even if you have done it before, you can still learn and refresh your skills. The Gold Coast has some fantastic areas to ride for all riders at all levels as long as we respect the road and other road users. Ride Safe, arrive home.
